2023 SPRING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We have tried to provide answers to a number of the questions that we get asked frequently.  

When will practices/games take place?

KINDERGARTEN T-BALL

Practice - One day per week - Tuesday or Thursday 5:30pm-6:30pm at Miller Field

Games - Saturday 9:30am-10:30am

1st GRADE BASEBALL (Coach Pitch)

Practice Practice takes place one evening a week. The day is a function of which team your player is placed on. No Wednesdays to avoid soccer conflicts.

Games - Games take place on Saturdays at 11:00am-12:00pm or 12:00pm-1:00pm

2nd GRADE BASEBALL (Machine Pitch)

Practice - Practice takes place one evening a week. The day is a function of which team your player is placed on. No Fridays to avoid soccer conflict.

Games - Games take place on Saturdays at 1:15pm-2:30pm

3rd - 4th GRADE BASEBALL

Practice - takes place one evening a week or on Sundays. The day is a function of which team your player is placed on.

Games - There will be two games a week - one during the week (typically Tuesday at 5:30pm) and one on Saturdays.

5th-7th GRADE BASEBALL

Practice - takes place one evening a week or on Sundays. The day is a function of which team your player is placed on.

Games - There will be two games a week - one during the week (typically Tuesday at 7:30pm) and one on Saturdays.

When does the season start and end?

Weather permitting the season will start the first weekend in April.

The season will run until the middle of June.

Does my child need to attend the baseball evaluations?

All players baseball in 3rd grade and up will need to attend the evaluations. In 2023, we expect evaluations to take place on March 5.

When will I hear from the manager?

Managers should begin reaching out to players around the end of March.  

How do I find out if games or any other events are postponed or cancelled?

 You will receive an email from your manager and it will be posted on WLL social media.

Do I need to buy a uniform?  

Each player will be provided with a shirt. Baseball players will need an athletic cup. Additionally, players will need a baseball glove.

Can I use any bat?

Little League Baseball has a new bat standard this year that will require all players to have a new bat. Any baseball bat used prior to the 2018 is no longer allowed. More information about what kind of bat can be found at this link - http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment/baseballbatinfo.htm
